Freeform Scolecite with Stilbite

Though scolecite is typically white or colorless, it can sometimes appear yellow, green or pink like our the piece pictured. Scolecite has a vitreous to pearly luster depending on the specific crystal surface. 

It is a unique mineral that belongs to the zeolite group, characterized by a three-dimensional framework of tetrahedral structures and crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system.
