Garnet (Almandine) Sphere

Garnet is primarily considered a metamorphic mineral with dodecahedtral or trapazehedral habit and a vitreous luster. It is not a single mineral, but a group of minerals with similar crystal structures, including almandine, pyrope, spessartine, grossular, and ugrandite.  These pieces are polished into an obelisk shape.
