Fluorescent Agate Mushrooms

The Chinese Fluorescent Agate is actually a chalcedony than an agate lacking the formation lines found in agates.  This material reacts with a UV 254-365 light.

Chalcedony is a microscopic quartz formation found around volcanic activity and sedimentary rocks.  it is translucent to opaque with a waxy, greasy, or silky luster, often showing botryoidal, or rounded, habits. It forms at low temperatures in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary environments, often precipitating from silica-rich water in cavities. 

These are artisan hand carved from rough material.  They average about 2.5 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1.25 inched in depth  the average weight is 0.5 pounds.  The purchaser will get ones of these at a random pull.
