Peacock Ore

Peacock Ore is the common name of bornite. Bornite is a type of copper-iron sulfide mineral that’s typically found around thermal vents. It may also have chalcopyrite. Standard bornite is usually copper-red, but the unique colors emerge when the mineral comes into contact with fresh air.
