Vasonite Sphere

Vasonite also known as vesuvianite, is a silicate mineral that is found in metamorphic rocks. This mineral gets its name from Mount Vesuvius, where it was first discovered within near lavas. Vasonite is typically green but also can be found as green, brown, yellow, or blue. The crystals are short pyramidal to long prismatic crystals containing a vitreous to resinous luster. These pieces are polished into the shape of a sphere.
